BIOBADASER is a project initiated by the Spanish Society of Rheumatology in 2001 as a "Spanish Register of Adverse Events of Biological Therapies in Rheumatic Diseases" and which has evolved as new drugs have been arriving as well as new regulations regarding the collection of information.
In order to collect the information in a scrupulous way, we developed the BIOBADASER platform that consists in a series of forms with complex validations, where information of the case studies can be introduced from different hospitals in Spain, and it gets stored for later analysis and study.
The platform has a backoffice from which you can download the information and see statistics. It has also implemented an adverse reaction alert system with the option of notifying to the relevant official body.
